Our #MayDay fight for Chapter 78 Relief and ESP Rights is moving at a “fast and furious” pace…so here is the current actions and plans:
.) All members need to send the emails. Meet up at Lunch or have 10 minute meetings or talk to them on break and send the ESP (Job Justice) and Chapter 78 (Health Care) Emails: Takes ONE Minute: https://www.njea.org/category/home/take-action-home/
.) Hang a RED RIBBON on your mailbox, door, house or tree until 6/30. Take pictures and post to social media (this is KEY!!) and tag BCEA Pick up ribbon from your President or the dollar store!
.) Hold a NJEA PAC drive. Your regular Membership dues are NOT used for political campaigns. Millionaires and Corporations are spending MILLIONS AGAINST public schools. By uniting THOUSANDS of smaller, voluntary donations from NJEA members…candidates who support public schools can get their message out.https://actioncenter.njea.org/contribution/
.) Get a lawn sign…grab the new lawn signs while supplies last and display it proudly. Stop by the BCEA Office in Teaneck or talk to your President.
.) Join the 10K Challenge…CALL your legislator and ask them to POST our bills for ESP Rights and Chapter 78 Relief. PHONE CALLS ARE VITAL!!! (see flyer below.)
.) 15 on the 15th: More Details to Follow…we will hold rallies at 15 Legislative offices…in Bergen County…it will be in Cresskill on May 15th from 4:30 to 5:30…Your support is VITAL for this event to succeed.
